Heart to Heart

Daddy and I just spoke with the head doctor over MUSC ICU. His name is Dr. Strange and it was obvious how brilliant he is and how caring too. He told us that mama had a slight heart attack last night meaning normal heart levels of something (can't remember the word) are 0.00, mama's went to 0.21. He said anytime there is an increase it is technically called a heart attack. Praise God it wasn't more. He explained how all of the organs work and when you mess with one (like the vent pressing air into lungs) it causes other things to happen.  

He also told us that mama would be at the top of the transplant list IF all of this other wasn't happening. So, please pray specifically for mama's heart and kidneys. Pray that the EKG and other tests come back and show that mama can handle the transplant. It's so tricky!  Pray she gets better and her body can handle the heart attack.  She will also be having a CT scan of her head today to rule out bleeds. So, pray for that as well. We thought they did that yesterday but didn't. 

Positive:  this beautiful therapy dog named Chelsea visited today. I wish mama could have seen her.
